Living Less Toxic (3)

It’s obviously not just what we put on our body or around house that causes toxins. The food we eat plays a massive roll in the amount of toxicity in our bodies.
Eating a healthy diet, such as minimal sugar, caffeine, alcohol, refined and processed food and trans fats, is the best way to treat your body to optimum health. The way much of the food today is grown and treated can really lessen its nutritional value. Hormones, antibiotics, fertilizers and pesticides on our meat, fruits and vegetables respectively are an extra burden of toxins to our systems when we ingest them. I prefer to eat organic food whenever possible to avoid these extra nasties in my diet.
Studies have shown organic food to be higher in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants than conventional food. It also tastes better too!
It can be hard to lead a perfectly healthy lifestyle and eat all the right things all the time, but balancing it out is the key. Enjoy the naughties in moderation and eat as many fruits and veges as you can (organic where possible) and your body will thank you for it!
